Drink: A festive flavoured smoothie
It’s getting close to Christmas!!!! The festive fever has set in and Christmas decorations are everywhere! So Amy’s smoothie this week is a Christmas inspired one, with a few celebratory flavours thrown in.
- 3 Oranges
- A bottle of cranberry juice (you’ll need quite a lot as the orange is quite overpowering!)
- Cinnamon Powder
Just blend the oranges with the cranberry juice until it’s smooth with as little bits as possible. Then sprinkle cinnamon into the mixture and mix it in – don’t worry if some still stays on the top, it’s normal! Add to taste.
What’s good about it?
Oranges contain ABSOLUTELY LOADS of Vitamin C, which is good for your skin. They contain some Potassium too, but not a lot.
Cranberries – wow, where do I start? They help prevent gum diseases, fight tooth decay, are high in anti-oxidants and also contain loads of Vitamin C!
Cinnamon is just as good for you! It is loaded with anti-oxidants like Cranberries, is proven to lower blood sugar level, it has anti-inflammatory properties and it tastes amazing!
There you go, a simple drink that tastes great and does you good.
