Drink: Peach, blueberry and mango smoothie
How to make a delicious peach, blueberry and mango smoothie
This combination of fruits creates a lovely, smooth juice. This week I used tinned fruit not fresh fruit because that was all that was available, so don’t worry if your local shop doesn’t sell fresh peaches! If you can, try to get tinned fruit in juice instead of with syrup because it is better for you. It is always handy to have some tinned fruit in the cupboard for emergency smoothies!
What you will need:
- A tin of peaches
- One large mango
- A pack of blueberries
- Water
- A blender
How to make it:
First cut the mango into small cubes and tip them into the blender. Add the tin of peaches and top it off with a generous handful of blueberries. Tip in the water and blend!
Nutritional values:
All of the fruits in this smoothie are full of vitamins; in particular vitamin C and A but also some vitamin B-6. They also contain a little bit of iron and magnesium.
Vitamin C is good for your skin and immune system. Vitamin A helps with eye sight and growth. Vitamin B-6 helps turn food into energy and iron is good for red blood cells. Magnesium is important for blood pressure and bone formation.
