Drink: Tasty A B C smoothie

Tasty A B C smoothie

As I was walking around the supermarket choosing fruits to make a healthy smoothie, I thought about how I could make it a fun and wacky creation. I considered doing a ‘three b smoothie’, where I would use three fruits beginning with b (maybe a future idea), a smoothie using fruit that is all one colour and then the A B C smoothie popped into my head. So, here’s how to make it yourself!

Ingredients:

  • 100-150g of dried apricots
  • 150g of blackberries
  • One small celery stick

How to make it:

First of all put your apricots in the blender. Then tip all of your blackberries in and chop up your celery. Add in your celery and pour in some water so that your juice isn’t too thick.

Nutritional values:

A for apricots:

Dried apricots are not only yummy but also extremely healthy – it’s a win win for everyone! They contain loads of vitamin A not to mention some vitamin C, B-6, iron and magnesium.

B for blackberries:

Blackberries are a lovely juicy fruit. They are also healthy though and have vitamin A, C, magnesium, calcium and iron in them.

C for celery:

Celery is a crunchy, watery vegetable that is full of goodness. It contains potassium, vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin B-6.

This smoothie contains lots of vitamin A and iron.

Vitamin A is good for growth, immune system, reproduction and sight.
