Now many people hire bikes to cycle the circular route around Rutland reservoir but, rather than opt for the obvious and easier option, we got back on our scooters and scootered our way around the body of water, getting some funny looks from cyclists and walkers that we passed.
Most of the route was smooth tarmac and flat but the odd hill and section of uneven path added some challenge and excitement to the trip.
So, that’s another seventeen miles knocked off our total and our second scooter journey in the bag.
