Journey 9: 8 Mile river walk

The decision to walk to Kilnsey Park epitomised what our 500 Fresh Air Miles Challenge is all about!

We could have quite easily driven to Kilnsey to learn about trout farming, Yorkshire dry stone walls, and their green/eco power credentials  – it would have been a lot easier.. and quicker… but that isn’t the spirit of our 500 Fresh Air Miles Challenge. Our challenge is designed to encourage us to be more creative about journeys and look for alternatives; alternatives which result in exercise, outdoor time (fresh air) and some quality family time to chat, stroll and just enjoy together.

And importantly, another 8 miles chipped off our 500 target – with each mile raising money for Tree Aid Africa and Tizhza Village in Morocco.

This journey was completed as part of our 500 Fresh Air Miles Challenge. Please help us raise money by donating on our Just Giving page
